When you buy a gold ring, you are purchasing the final result of a long, complex creative process. Before a jeweler can create a gold ring, the customer has to decide how he or she wants the ring to look. Once there is a set plan for the ring’s style, the jeweler will measure the customer’s finger and start sketching designs.
As you can see in this video, gold rings are created from model wax that is carved into the desired shape. The ring-maker eventually creates a plaster mold into which the gold is poured. The result is a beautiful piece of jewelry that is always in style.
